Hand-Dyed Yarns

Ann Desmet and her daughter, Emily, have been experimenting with color and dyeing beautiful skeins of yarns. Their dye spoons range in size from 1/4 tsp to 1/128 tsp!

No two skeins are alike! If you are considering making a sweater or something larger, order your yarn by it's name and order all you will need at the same time. We suggest you wind all of your skeins into balls and knit no more than one-third to one-half of a ball (depending on your project) before changing to another ball. That way, all of your colors will be from the same "color family" and will blend together as if from the same dye lot.

Please order all of your yarn at the same time! Temperature and humidity play a huge part in how the yarns accept the dye. Yarns we dye of a particular color in the spring will look somewhat different from the yarns we dye in the summer or fall using the exact same formula.
